What You'll Be Doing
As a Customer Service Consultant in our Vehicle Testing Centre, you'll be the first point of contact for our Members and customers, creating a welcoming and professional experience from the moment they walk through the door. Working in a fast-paced environment, you'll support a range of vehicle and driver-related transactions while helping customers access the products and services that best meet their needs.
This is a customer-facing role where attention to detail, accuracy and a genuine desire to help people are key. You'll work closely with Vehicle Testing Officers and the wider team to ensure every customer interaction is handled efficiently and professionally.
This role works Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, plus alternate Saturdays from 8:00am to 1:30pm.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Processing vehicle and driver-related transactions accurately and in line with established procedures.
- Welcoming customers into the site, understanding their needs and providing the right solutions.
- Promoting and referring AA products and services that add value to customers.
- Handling customer enquiries and resolving issues in a professional and timely manner.
- Maintaining high standards of presentation, professionalism and customer service.
- Contributing to team goals while supporting a safe and collaborative working environment.
- Continuing to develop your knowledge of AA products, services and systems through training and development opportunities.
About You
You're a customer-focused professional who enjoys helping people and takes pride in delivering exceptional service. You thrive in a busy environment, enjoy building relationships and can confidently balance administration, customer interactions and sales opportunities.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience in a customer service or sales environment, ideally within the automotive or motoring industry.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to process information accurately.
- Intermediate computer skills and confidence learning new systems and processes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- The ability to identify customer needs and recommend relevant products and services.
- A positive, professional approach and a commitment to providing great customer experiences.
You'll also be organised, adaptable and enjoy working as part of a team. Most importantly, you'll bring a customer-first mindset, a willingness to learn and a genuine passion for helping our Members and customers every day.
