About the Role

We are currently recruiting for a Ward Clerk for Ward 77. This role will see you providing clerical support to the wards Charge Nurse and the Orthopaedic Team. You will utilize your proven multi-tasking skills in a busy work environment and enjoy an eventful workday.

In this role, you will be:

  • The first point of contact for ward visitors and phone calls,
  • Coordinating the movement of patients, maintaining patient files, patient information data entry,
  • Following up on appointments to stock control and maintenance.

You pride yourself on your high-quality customer-focused skills with meticulous attention to detail and have strong organisational skills. Your ability to adapt, openness to learn and cope well in a busy clinical environment will be keys to your success in this role.

About You:

To be successful in this role, we are looking for:

  • At least 2 years clerical experience in a frontline role and may be working in a Healthcare environment as an Administrator or Clinical Receptionist and looking to move to a larger organisation.
  • Confidence in medical terminology in an administration role.

About the Service

The Orthopaedic and North Island Sarcoma Service at Te Toka Tumai Auckland provides both acute and elective care to more than 12,000 patients each year. As the Auckland regions major trauma centre, the service manages a diverse range of orthopaedic specialist services and provides exposure to a variety of complex clinical presentations requiring advanced specialist nursing expertise.
