About the Role
This is an Administrative position within the Attendants, Security and Parking department based at Waikato Hospital. The position is Fixed Term to cover Parental Leave through to June 2027.
The key objective of this role is to provide an efficient, professional, high quality service to the team. You will be responsible for a variety of clerical and administrative duties to support the Managers and Team Leaders, providing exceptional, professional service and support.
The role reports to the Operations Manager for Attendants, Security, Parking & Fleet, and supports the wider Clinical and Operational Support Services team at Health New Zealand - Waikato.

About the Team/Service
Our Attendants, Security and Parking team are part of Clinical and Operational Support Services, which includes a variety of services, such as Attendants (Orderlies), Biomedical Engineering (Medical Equipment), Nutrition and Food (patient meals, Meals on Wheels, Retail), Hospitality Support Services (Bryant Education Centre, Volunteers, Chaplains and Enquiries), Security, Fleet and Parking, Laboratory, Pharmacy, Radiology, Outpatient Nursing, Waikato Hospital Administration, Design and Printing.
About You
We are looking for an exceptional administrator to join our high functioning and supportive administration team. To be effective and succeed in this role you will be a confident self starter who demonstrates initiative and leadership qualities, with a strong focus on providing excellence in service delivery.
You will also need to be able to demonstrate the following skills, experience and attributes:
- Well developed administrative skills, with previous experience in a similar Administrative role
- Excellent communication skills
- Exceptional organisational skills
- Calm under pressure, and able to manage a range of different tasks on any given day
- Intermediate to Advanced level skills using Microsoft products
- Previous experience with rostering, and/or using systems such as OneStaff and Oracle would also be an advantage
