Radiology Scheduler - Administration Support

About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Administrator to join the team within the Radiology Department at Whakatāne Hospital.
As part of this busy team, you will play an important role in ensuring patients are booked and supported through their Radiology journey.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Processing referrals and arranging patient bookings in a timely and accurate manner
- Managing patient scheduling and ensuring bookings follow departmental processes and protocols
- Managing incoming calls and responding to patient and external enquiries
- Monitoring worklists and prioritising patients in line with Ministry of Health timeframes
- Following up patients who do not attend their appointments
- Completing data entry, audits and other clerical and administrative duties
- Working closely with the wider Radiology team to manage urgent booking requirements
About you
We are looking for an organised Administrator who takes pride in providing excellent customer service and getting things right.
You will bring:
- A National Certificate in Business Administration and Computing Level 1, or equivalent
- Previous administration experience and strong computer skills
- Exceptional telephone and communication skills
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise competing demands
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
