About the Role

Are you an experienced Medical Imaging Technologist looking to take the next step in your career?

We are looking for a CT Clinical Lead to provide clinical leadership and support the delivery of a high quality, safe and efficient CT service at Tauranga Hospital.

You’ll play an important role in supporting the CT team to work confidently and independently, maintaining high clinical standards, supporting education and competency development, and contributing to quality improvement across the service.

You will also help ensure the service is well equipped to meet patient and service demands, including supporting staffing requirements, consumables and day to day operational needs.

About the Team/Service/Location

As part of our team, you’ll work with recently upgraded imaging equipment and collaborate with skilled radiologists, technologists, and healthcare professionals to provide high quality diagnostic services.

About you

You will be a skilled and motivated Medical Imaging Technologist with strong clinical experience and a passion for CT, quality patient care and developing others.

You will have:

  • Current NZMRTB registration and APC
  • The ability to demonstrate strong clinical competence and consistently produce high quality diagnostic imaging.
  • A commitment to radiation safety, informed consent, patient privacy and delivering a positive patient experience.
  • The ability to support, coach and develop CT MITs to work competently, safely and independently.
  • Strong planning, organisation and judgement, with a focus on delivering results.
  • Excellent relationship building and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across the Radiology team.
  • A proactive approach to quality improvement, education, professional development and health and safety.
  • Good computer literacy and the ability to work confidently with clinical systems.
  • A high level of professionalism, integrity and personal accountability.

You will be expected to participate in rostered after hours duties and on call, including responding promptly to call outs when required.
