About the Role and Service

As part of the Whangārei Community Clinical Services Team the Clinical Team Manager will provide clinical and professional leadership and management to facilitate the effective day-to-day safe operation of services and to contribute to the delivery of directorate objectives and nursing strategy. You will be overseeing School Based Youth Service, Gynaecology, Cervical Screening and LARC teams.

You will be responsible for:

• Providing effective, visible and accessible professional leadership, which actively strengthens clinical staff to pursue excellence in nursing care delivery.
• Management of the day to day operational requirements across Patient Services
• The facilitation and provision of safe, quality and cost effective resource management.
• Understanding our population, how health is viewed and how the population requires support.
• Collaborating with partners to allow us to offer models of care that are whānau-centric, comprehensive and holistic.
• Efficiently fulfil all operational management functions
• Ensure robust processes are developed and maintained to support the professional development of the team

This is a permanent, full time position (1.0 FTE) based in Whangarei, however some travel around the region will be required.

About you

To be successful in this role you will have:

• New Zealand Registered Health Professional with a current annual practicing certificate
• Relevant Post graduate tertiary qualification or working towards
• If applicable, Designated Senior Nurse PDRP or Expert PDRP (demonstrating clinical examples)
• Minimum of five years experience post registration in relevant specialty
• Nursing/Allied Health leadership experience
• Ability to develop successful teamwork and collaborations
• Ability to implement service delivery plans
