Cafe Verde based in Geraldine needs 3 experienced FOH/ Barista. This is a hands-on role covering customer service, coffee preparation, food service, and keeping the café running smoothly.

2 years of relevant experience & ability to obtain a Licence Controller Qualification & Manager’s Certificate is essential

Physical fitness & good character are important; flexibility as Industry works 24x7 all days of the year including weekends, public holidays & school holidays as per business demands.

  • Preparing and serving hot beverages and coffees according to establishment recipes and standards
  • Operating coffee-based equipment including espresso machine, grinder and PUQPress
  • Greet customers, take orders, and provide friendly, efficient customer service
  • Ensure customer areas are always tidy and are displayed in accordance with the establishment’s standards.
  • Follows standards for merchandising, stocking, rotating, and storing products.
  • Clean designated areas in accordance with procedures, morning/evening routines, and hygiene requirements.
  • Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines for all products.
  • Advise Owner/Manager of supply shortages.
  • Report any problems with either customer or equipment to the Owner/Manager.
  • Ensure customers are correctly charged and take payment from the customer using the POS and in accordance with the procedures of the establishment.
  • Follows inventory stocking and recording guidelines.
  • Contribute to store goals for increasing sales and improving profits.
  • Ensure the safety of the business’s property and cash at all times.
  • Investigate and suggest new products and new preparation methods of existing product range.
  • Oversee day-to-day front-of-house operations to ensure seamless service and exceptional guest satisfaction.30-40 hours per week. May need to work extra as per demand.
