Support Role in Grant Funding Organization

Our client, a highly respected organization, that provides grant funding to a wide range of non-profit groups, charities, sports groups, cultural and educational organisations. Among the many beneficiaries of their funding are the NZ Coastguard, Starship Foundation, Canteen, and St Johns as well as local sporting and community groups.

This is an important role that plays a key part in supporting almost every aspect of the organization.

It will suit someone who enjoys a busy position with plenty of variety—someone who is equally happy getting into the nitty gritty and detail of grants administration and supporting the accounts functions, as they are getting out to visit venues, support staff, and build meaningful partnerships.

You'll be part of a passionate, dedicated team based in Epsom, helping to manage grant funding that directly supports community programmes.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide PA support to a busy Chief Executive.
  • Manage a range of projects, from smaller initiatives through to more complex assignments.
  • Assist the Grants Administration team, providing support as required.
  • Prepare reports on key grant variables. (Advanced Excel skills are essential).
  • Prepare and manage gaming license applications and renewals.
  • Visit venues building relationships with staff and provide ongoing support.
  • Provide backup support to the accounts function when required, including bank reconciliations, Payroll and reporting. (this can be taught)

About you:

  • An upbeat personality, able to engage effectively with different people, and maintain positive, constructive relationships
  • A genuine enjoyment of balancing office-based administration with face-to-face venue support
  • Strong financial, numerical, and analytical skills.
  • Some accounting experience would be ideal
  • Confidence using the Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel.
  • Excellent people and customer service skills.
  • A results-oriented approach, with strong organisational and planning abilities.
  • A proactive approach to problem solving.
  • Sound judgement, integrity, and a high level of personal accountability.
  • Previous experience in a team / client support role, such Personal Assistant, client relationship management, fundraising, or a similar admin support position.

  • Remuneration of $75,000–$80,000, depending on experience.

Hours: 8am- 4: 30pm Mon- Friday
