Receptionist Position

Put your swift reception and administration skills to great use! Permanent, Monday to Friday role with no weekend work. Based in Wellington at our National Office.

As the Receptionist, you'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our National Office by providing high-quality reception and administrative support. You'll be the first point of contact for staff and visitors, delivering a professional and welcoming experience every time. Your responsibilities will include managing front desk operations, assisting with administrative tasks, and supporting staff with their day-to-day needs. This is a role where efficiency, organisation, and customer service are front and centre, with a focus on delivering excellent results and customer satisfaction.

Based in Wellington at our National Office, this full-time role offers standard business hours of 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday through to Friday.

About You

We're looking for an experienced receptionist or administrator who thrives on delivering exceptional customer service and is excited to make a positive first impression on behalf of Ara Poutama Aotearoa. In this role, you'll be the face of our reception, so building strong relationships with staff and visitors will come naturally to you. You'll bring energy, a proactive attitude, and a genuine passion for providing support to others.

Skills and Experience

To succeed in this role, you will bring: Reception, administration or call centre experience. Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn new systems. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Sound judgment and decision-making abilities. A proactive and independent approach to work. Strong multitasking skills and the ability to prioritise workloads effectively.

Salary

The mid point of the salary range is $66,557 per annum and the full range (85%-120%) is $60,216 - $79,869 per annum. Appointment and remuneration will reflect skills and experience relevant to the role.
