About the Team/Service/Location

All graduate nurse roles are eligible for both Registered and Enrolled nurses. New Entry to Specialty Practice (Mental Health), Supported First Year of Practice roles at Nelson or Wairau, Primary Health and Aged Care Facilities are areas that employ graduate nurses. The roles are aimed at the nurse new to practice and will be included in the Supported First Year of Practice Programme for Registered and Enrolled nurses. Shifts will be rostered Monday to Sunday AM, PM, mid-shifts and night shifts, permanent/fixed term and FTE dependant on individual roles.

About You

  • When you start your role, you must be a NZ Registered Nurse with a current NZNC practising certificate.
  • You will demonstrate teamwork and consider the wider organisation's needs 'team of teams', foster a 'how can I help' culture and value the provision of the fundamentals of care for patients and their whanau.
  • You will promote and support quality improvement activities and service development initiatives.
