Job Description:
The Doughdelion Company Limited is seeking talented and dedicated Bakers to join
our expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is passionate

Position Details:
· Employment Type: Full-time, permanent
· Location: Northland
· The minimum guaranteed hours of work per week: 30 hours
· The maximum hours of work per week: 60 hours
· Salary: $28–$35 per hour (depending on skills and experience)
Job Description
· Follow recipes and change ingredients when needed
· Measure and mix ingredients; bake items in an oven; preparing pastry fillings
· Prepare items for sale, including icing items or decorating cakes
· Check the cleanliness of equipment and operation of premises before production runs
to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations
· Checking the quality of raw materials and weighing ingredients
· Kneading, maturing, cutting, moulding, mixing and shaping dough and pastry goods
· Monitor oven temperatures and product appearance to determine baking times
· Coordinate the forming, loading, baking, unloading, de-panning and cooling of batches
of bread, rolls and pastry products
· Glazing buns and pastries, and decorating cakes with cream and icing
· Operating machines which roll and mould dough and cut biscuits
· Emptying, cleaning and greasing baking trays, tins and other cooking equipment
· Prepare customer orders and serve customers
· Make sandwiches, slices, cutting, marinating, frying etc.
· Follow food safety requirements
· Cleaning where need be and required
· Assisting other team members in general tasks
· Checking and accepting deliveries
· Some tasks might differ from day to day – an all-rounder is needed
What we are looking for:
Minimum 2 years’ relevant experience OR a Level 4 qualification in baking or
pastry or a related field
Willingness to work flexible rostered shifts, including weekends and public
holidays
High level of attention to detail with a dependable and hardworking attitude
Enthusiastic team player with a true passion for baking and creating quality
products.
