About the Role

As a Clinical Administration Relief worker, you will provide efficient and reliable administrative cover across a variety of clinical and non-clinical services at Bay of Islands Hospital. Working within the Clinical Relief Temp Pool, you’ll step into different administration roles to support departments during staff leave and periods of increased demand, ensuring the smooth delivery of patient care and service operations. The role encompasses a range of administrative functions, including reception, patient bookings, data entry, ward clerk duties, and general office support.

About the Team/Service/Location

The Clinical Relief Temp Pool provides essential administrative support across a variety of hospital and community services, helping ensure the smooth delivery of patient care. Our team plays a critical role in ensuring departments remain well supported and patients continue to receive timely, high-quality care when regular administration staff are unavailable.

Based in Kawakawa at Bay of Islands Hospital, you’ll enjoy working in a close-knit team environment while supporting healthcare services that are at the heart of the local community.

About You

As a Clinical Administrative Relief worker, you will be confident working in a fast-paced environment and enjoy learning new systems and processes quickly. You’ll be flexible, reliable, and committed to providing exceptional customer services. You will bring:

  • Proven administrative experience with strong proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Work and Excel
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive working relationships
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask, prioritise workloads and maintain accuracy under pressure
  • Demonstrated commitment to confidentiality, professionalism and customer service excellence
  • A flexible and adaptable approach, with the confidence to learn new roles, processes and systems quickly
