Coordinate haemodialysis care for Northland patients across multiple dialysis units

Registered Nurse - Haemodialysis - Renal - Whangarei

This is an excellent opportunity for a Registered Nurse who is passionate about delivering high-quality patient care and is keen to develop expertise in renal nursing. As part of our Renal Service, you will provide safe, patient-centred haemodialysis care to people across Te Tai Tokerau, supporting patients with End Stage Renal Failure (ESRF), Acute Renal Failure (ARF), and those undertaking Home Haemodialysis. You will have the opportunity to develop specialist knowledge, work closely with multidisciplinary colleagues, and make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients living with kidney disease. Travel to dialysis units across Northland may be required from time to time.

The Renal Service has a MDT approach to patient care across Outpatient, Community and Inpatient settings. There are 2 Haemodialysis Units based in Whangarei which provide chronic and acute haemodialysis treatments. You will work as part of a team of 33 experienced Haemodialysis Nurses.

To be successful in this role you will need: current registration with the nursing council of NZ and APC, strong communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team, a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development, a patient-focused approach and a genuine interest in specialist nursing.
