The Mariner Bar Limited is seeking a permanent Bar Manager to run The Mariner Bar in Titahi Bay, Porirua.

The Bar Manager is responsible for overseeing the efficient operations of the hospitality venue providing bar, food, and gambling services across a seven-day schedule.

The key job duties include but are not limited to the following:

  • Develop and manage staff rosters to ensure optimal service delivery across seven-day operations, meeting cost targets.
  • Oversee compliance with the sale and supply of alcohol.
  • Manage stock levels, purchasing, and vetting of orders and deliveries to prevent shortages and ensure seamless operations.
  • Handle customer feedback promptly, resolving complaints in a timely manner to maintain high satisfaction levels.
  • Set specials and organise events, such as birthdays, themed nights and weekly events, to attract customers and enhance the venue's reputation.
  • Lead recruitment, interviewing, hiring, training and supervision of staff to ensure high performance and adherence to venue standards across seven-day operations.

We gaurantee a minimum of 30 hours per week.  The successful applicant must be available on weekends and public holidays.

To be successful in this role, you must have:

· At least two-years relevant supervisory or managerial experience

· Your LCQ (Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012).
