About the Role

In this role, you will be at the forefront of a vital, fast-moving service. No two days are the same as you manage acute patient flow, deliver high-quality clinical care, and coordinate safe transitions within Ward 1D.

This is a particularly exciting time to join us. As part of a major service development, our team is transitioning to a medical model of care. We have several part-time positions available for candidates who are keen to thrive in a dynamic clinical environment and actively contribute to this evolving model of service delivery.

About the Team/Service/Location

Located at Tauranga Hospital, the Ward 1D team works as the engine room for the hospital's patient flow. The service specialises in managing acute variance, bridging the timing gap between Emergency Department admissions and ward bed availability. We are a diverse, highly collaborative multi-disciplinary team that thrives on mutual support and camaraderie.

About You

We are looking for motivated and compassionate professionals to join our evolving service.

What you will bring:

• Registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand and current APC
• Advanced clinical assessment and organizational skills to thrive within a fast-paced, acute clinical environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with an innate ability to work effectively alongside colleagues, patients, and whānau alike
• A positive, solution-focused attitude, and a commitment to leading and delivering safe, high-quality nursing care
