We are looking for all-rounder Front of House/ Lead Waitress/ Bartender to join our team at Full Monty’s Bowling in the Canterbury region. This is a permanent full-time position with a guarantee of minimum of 30 hours per week with competitive rates between $27 and $31p/h depending on your skills. This role has varied shifts including evenings, weekends, and public holidays hence flexibility is essential in this role. 

Tasks & responsibilities

·         Lead by example on the floor and behind the bar, setting a friendly, efficient and professional service standard.

·         Provide full table and bar service, including seating guests, taking orders, serving food and beverages, and making menu recommendations.

·         Support the Manager on shift by helping coordinate service, allocate tasks and keep the FOH team focused during busy periods.

·         Guide and train team members in service standards, POS use, menu knowledge, bar procedures and venue expectations.

·         Prepare and serve beverages accurately and support responsible service of alcohol, including ID checks and escalating concerns to the Duty Manager.

·          Keep tables, bar and service areas clean, stocked, organised and ready for service throughout the shift.

·         Handle POS and cash transactions accurately and assist with opening, closing and end-of-shift duties as directed.

·         Help resolve day-to-day guest concerns promptly and professionally, escalating complaints or significant issues to the Manager.

·         Communicate with the kitchen, reception and wider venue team, support functions and busy per Qualifications & experience

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a hospitality worker OR relevant qualification in Hospitality, Food and Beverage or a related field.
  • Being an all-rounder and Multitasking skills is ideal
  • Attention to detail
  • Have good time management skills
  • Be confident working on their own
  • Be a good communicator
  • LCQ would be an advantage

Additional Requirements

  • Zero tolerance for drugs in the workplace; pre-employment drug test required
  • Clean character background; Ministry of justice check required
  • Must be able to provide references from previous employers, school, or college
