About the Role

We are looking for skilled registered nurses who are highly experienced in orthopaedics to join our inpatient team at Waikato Hospital.

As a major trauma centre, Waikato Hospital orthopaedic service provides care to both emergency and planned care patients. You will have the chance to work in interesting and challenging orthopaedic cases. Our fast-paced environment is perfect for those looking to make a real impact while developing their skills further. Previous experience in orthopaedic operating theatres is essential.

Waikato Hospital is a major regional hospital in Hamilton and is a leading tertiary teaching hospital located in Hamilton, New Zealand, serving as the regional hub for the Midland area, which includes the Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Lakes, Tairawhiti, and Taranaki districts. With around 722 inpatient beds, 22 operating theatres, and a dedicated outpatient clinic and procedure centre, Waikato Hospital provides comprehensive hospital services, including radiology, laboratory, and pharmacy. About You

Skills and experience you’ll need to be considered for the role:

• At least 2-3 years of orthopaedic experience, with recent surgical experience
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong patient focus
• Enthusiasm and commitment in a changing environment
