Permanent part time (0.6FTE), 24 hours per week

Travel to and from other dialysis units across Northland to work as and when required

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated Registered Nurse to join the team in Whangarei as a part of our Renal Service.

This is an exciting opportunity to work within a highly specialised service that supports patients with kidney disease across a range of settings.

As part of our Renal Clinic team, you will provide patient-centred care while working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team dedicated to improving health outcomes for Northlanders. This role offers variety, professional growth, and the opportunity to build specialist knowledge in renal nursing. Travel to dialysis units across Northland may be required from time to time.

About the Team/Service/Location

The Renal Service has a MDT approach to patient care across Outpatient, Community and Inpatient settings.

There are 2 Haemodialysis Units based in Whangarei which provide chronic and acute haemodialysis treatments. You will work as part of team of 33 experienced Haemodialysis Nurses.

About You

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • A current APC as a New Zealand Registered Nurse
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
  • A commitment to ongoing learning and professional development
  • A patient-focused approach and a genuine interest in specialist nursing

Whilst not essential, applicants with previous experience in Renal / Haemodialysis will be highly desired.
