Coordinate outpatient bookings and referrals across three sites to support theatre scheduling

Patient Administration Coordinator

We are looking for Patient Administration Coordinators to join our PAS Team. Challenging but rewarding, PAS (Patient Administration Services) is a department like no other. It is service-orientated with no two days being the same.

You'll be working with a close-knit administrative group and alongside a large multi-disciplinary team of clinicians, nurses, business managers and clinical directors. We work across three site locations; Auckland Hospital, Starship Hospital and Greenlane Clinical Centre.

You will need to have the right attitude to deliver the highest quality customer service to our valuable patients and offer the following skills: resiliency, adaptability and flexibility to ensure the smooth running of the service; fast learner, great at multitasking, with excellent time management skills; excellent communication, both verbal and written; strong computer skills with an ease of learning new apps.

We are Te Whatu Ora Te Toka Tumai Auckland. We provide health and disability services to more than half a million people living in central Auckland, regional services for Northland and greater Auckland, and specialist national services for the whole of New Zealand. Our main sites are Auckland City Hospital, Greenlane Clinical Centre and Starship Childrens Hospital, located in central Auckland.

In this role, you will be working in Surgical Booking: high level of engagement with our patients/parents to organise their specialist procedures; collaborate with clinicians, nurses and Services to ensure efficient the running of theatres; work within the PAS family to train together towards best administrative practices for patients.
