The Meus Cafe is a well established and welcoming cafe located in Kumeu, Auckland. We offer a diverse menu featuring quality breakfast, brunch and lunch options in a friendly and relaxed dining environment.

As our business continues to grow, we are looking for one full time Cafe Manager to join our team and oversee the smooth day to day operation of the cafe, while maintaining high standards of customer service and operational efficiency.

To be successful for this role, you need: 

  • 2 years relevant experience or a level 4 or above relevant qualification
  • Must be available to work weekdays and weekend shifts.
  • Adaptable to change and able to multitask. 
  • A strong understanding of food safety and hygiene. 
  • Reliable, organized, creative and cool under pressure 
  • Able to work efficiently in a team environment 

Key tasks & Responsibilities:

1. Planning menus in consultation with Chefs.
2. Planning and organising special functions.
3. Arranging the purchasing and pricing of goods according to budget.
4. Maintaining records of stock levels and financial transactions.
5. Ensuring dining facilities comply with health regulations and are clean, functional
and of suitable appearance.
6. Conferring with customers to assess their satisfaction with meals and service.
7. Selecting, training and supervising waiting staff.
8. Take reservations, greet guests and assist in taking orders.
9. Analyzing monthly cafe sales performance, and write monthly report to owner.
10. Marketing and management strategies for the betterment of the organization.
