Mount Eatery Limited is a Vietnamese restaurant established in 2019 and located in Tauranga. We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Chef to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis.

🔎 Position Details

Position: Chef
Work region: Tauranga, Bay of Plenty

Employment Type: Full-time, permanent
Hours of Work: Minimum 30 hours and up to a maximum of 60 hours per week
Pay Rate: $28 – $32 per hour (depending on experience and skills)

 

👨‍🍳 Key Responsibilities

  • planning menus, estimating food and labour costs, and ordering food supplies
  • monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation
  • discussing food preparation issues with Managers, kitchen and waiting staff
  • demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures
  • preparing and cooking food
  • explaining and enforcing hygiene regulations
  • may select and train staff
  • may freeze and preserve foods

✅ Requirements

  • Applicants must have at least two years of relevant work experience OR A Level 4 or higher qualification in Cookery or a related field
  • Be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment and
  • Maintain high food quality standards.
  • No criminal record
