Pojewal Ltd is looking for two Indian cooks for a Junction Dhaba as Curry and Tandoori cooks in the Auckland region. One may cook for a Junction Dhaba mobile food truck operating at approved sites across the Auckland region.

Only candidates who are New Zealand citizens, residents, or on an open work visa with one year of relevant work experience in Indian cuisine can apply!

Wages $26-$30 per hour, and overtime will be at the same pay rate. Wages will be paid into their nominated bank accounts weekly.

Working hours: 30-35 hours per week 

between 11 am - 2 pm and 4 pm - 9:30 pm as flexibly required with weekend availability. Working hours are subject to change as the employer requires to meet business requirements.

Duties:

Prepare, season, and cook food;

examining foodstuffs to ensure quality;

regulating temperatures of ovens, grills, and other cooking equipment;

Greeting customers and helping serve and take orders during busy periods;

Taking customer payments when required; Handling feedback politely and passing serious issues to the supervisor;

portioning food, seasoning well during cooking;

storing food in temperature-controlled facilities;

ensure to meet special dietary requirements;

May train other kitchen staff and apprentices,
