We are looking for three experienced Café Cook to join our team at DESEN INVESTMENTS LIMITED - Café in Auckland. This is a full-time position, offering at least 30 hours per week.

Café Cook

Requirements:

 

At least two years of relevant experience in similar industry.

Alternatively, a relevant Level 4 qualification or a Bachelor’s degree or higher may substitute for the experience.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Tasks Include:

 

examining foodstuffs to ensure quality

regulating temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment

preparing and cooking food

seasoning food during cooking

portioning food, placing it on plates, and adding gravies, sauces and garnishes

storing food in temperature controlled facilities

preparing food to meet special dietary requirements

may plan menus and estimate food requirements

may train other kitchen staff and apprentices
