The Paw Bar & Eatery in Parnell is looking for a motivated Chef Assistant to join our dynamic kitchen team. You'll support our chefs with food prep, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring smooth kitchen operations. This role is perfect for someone passionate about hospitality, eager to learn, and ready to work in a unique setting that welcomes both people and their pets. Prior experience is a plus but not required. We offer flexible shifts, a supportive work environment, and the chance to be part of a growing, vibrant venue.

Job Description:

  • Assist chefs with food preparation and plating

  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen

  • Help with stock organization and kitchen setup

  • Support smooth day-to-day kitchen operations

  • Learn and grow in a supportive, fun environment

  • Work in a unique, pet-friendly venue in Parnell

  • Flexible shifts available (weekdays & weekends)

  • Prior kitchen experience is a bonus but not essential

  • Must be reliable, eager to learn, and team-oriented

Applicant must be able to do flexible working hours, including weekends and Public Holidays as the role requires. We have zero tolerance for substance abuse. You may be willing to undergo mandatory drug-test and pre-employment police check.

Salary range for both the positions is $32 per hour, depending on experience. If you meet this criteria, knowledge, and experience, we love to hear from you.
