We are looking for a junior cook to join our team.

Requirements

  • At least 6 months of related work experience, OR

  • At least a related NZ Register Certificate Level 4 qualification

  • Must have a Certification in food hygiene and handling (e.g., Food Safety Supervisor Certificate)

  • Must have work experience in the customer service field

  • Must have knowledge of Thai food ingredients, as we take food allergies seriously

Job Descriptions

  • Prepare and cook meals according to menu specifications and dietary requirements.

  • Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet established standards.

  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.

  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in food preparation areas.

  • Monitor food storage and inventory, ensuring proper stock rotation.

  • Assist in menu planning and contribute to recipe development.

  • Adhere to health, safety, and food handling regulations.

  • Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff and provide guidance when necessary.

Other Details

  • This is a full-time and permanent position

  • The wage is $26.50 to $30.00 per hour, with weekly payments

  • Holiday pay and sick leave will be paid according to the law

  • You will be working at 3/162 Harbour Village Drive, Gulf Harbour, Whangaparaoa

  • You will work according to a roaster 5 - 6 days each week with a guarantee of 30 hours (maximum of 48 hours)
