Ramesh and Kaushika Partnership Limited is seeking experienced and passionate Cooks to join our culinary team in Auckland. The successful candidates will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, ensuring high-quality food service, and maintaining kitchen hygiene standards.
- Prepare and cook a diverse range of dishes according to the menu and company standards.
- Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner and meets quality and presentation standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels, ensuring ingredients are stocked and properly stored.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop new recipes and menu items.
- Train and supervise junior kitchen staff as required.
- Comply with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area.
Skills and Experience Required:
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in a similar role.
- Proficiency in various cooking techniques and cuisines.
- Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
Qualifications:
A qualification at Level 4 or higher on the New Zealand Qualifications and Credentials Framework (NZQCF) in Cookery or a related field is preferred.
Either Work Experience or Qualification is required.
Pay Rate:
The hourly pay rate for this position ranges from NZD $25.00 to NZD $28.00, depending on experience and qualifications.
Guaranteed Hours:
A minimum of 30 hours per week is guaranteed, upto 40 hours per week.
Additional Information:
This role requires standing for extended periods and working in a hot, fast-paced environment.
