Job Description:

The role will include, but not limited to:
- Prepare a variety of Japanese dishes such as sushi, sashimi, ramen, and tempura following traditional techniques and recipes.

Ensure precise ingredient preparation by cleaning, cutting, and handling fish, meats, and vegetables skillfully.

Maintain food quality and consistency by adhering to recipe guidelines and presentation standards.

Follow food safety and hygiene practices to keep the kitchen clean and compliant with health regulations.

Monitor and manage kitchen inventory by tracking ingredient levels and assisting with stock organization.

Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient food service operations.

Handle knives and kitchen equipment safely while keeping tools clean and in proper working condition.

Stay updated on culinary trends and contribute creative ideas for new menu items when appropriate.

Job pre-requisites:

At least 2 years of cooking experience

Relevant cookery qualifications are preferable but not a must

Excellent communication skills
