Flavoraful BBQ is a busy takeaway shop in South Auckland. We are looking for a suitably qualified motivated & energetic Chinese Chef to join our busy team. The takeaway shop serves Asian cuisine on a daily basis; particularly Chinese dishes.

Location :                    Auckland

Employment type ;      Full time

Duration :                    Permanent (Mondays to Sundays rostered hours)

Pay :                            $30 per hour (minimum 30 hours and max 50 hours weekly) earning $900-$1500 per week

Description

We operate from Monday to Sunday 11am-11:30pm and on public holidays. As an important member of the team, this role is responsible for managing the day to day running of the kitchen. Selected candidates will work a minimum of 30 rostered hours per week including weekends and public holidays.

 

Duties of the Role:

 

·       Planning the menu, ensuring that each dish is nutritious and cost-effective

·       Preparing and cooking various Asian dishes to the highest standards

·       Using appropriate techniques and cooking procedures for making Chinese dishes, particularly making dumplings and wonton

·       Supervising and assisting Cook and Kitchen Assistant when needed

·       Monitoring the quality of dishes throughout stages of food preparation and presentation

·       Accepting and preparing special orders from customers

·       Maintaining a high standard of health and safety in the kitchen at all times

·       Controlling the food and kitchen costs, ordering food supplies

 

Requisite Competencies

 

To fit well in the role, you will need to have;

·       The ability to multi-task, cope with pressure in a fast paced working environment

·       Previous work experience is not required

·       Honesty, dependability and responsibility

·       Punctuality and excellent time management
