About the Role:
- Permanent full-time, minimum 30 hours per week, rostered including weekends
- Pay $30 to $40 per hour based on skills and experience

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare, cook, and present meals according to the menu and daily prep list

Maintain consistent portioning, quality, and presentation of dishes

Manage time efficiently to meet service demands during peak periods

Ensure compliance with all food hygiene, safety, and cleaning protocols

Support inventory management by monitoring stock and minimizing waste

Contribute ideas for menu development and seasonal offerings

Supervise and train junior kitchen staff if required

Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment
Skills and Qualifications:

Minimum 3 years’ experience working as a chef in a commercial kitchen

Experience with Asian fusion or Filipino cuisine is a strong advantage

Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment

Sound knowledge of food safety regulations (NZ Food Act 2014)

Culinary qualification (NZQF Level 4 or equivalent) preferred

Strong teamwork, communication, and organisational skills
