We are looking for three experienced Cooks for our busy Indian Takeaway in Waikato  region.

Duration: Permanent  

Pay: Minimum $24.00 and maximum $30.00  

Hours: Minimum 30 hours per week guaranteed  

Relevant Experience: Minimum one year  

Willing to work on weekends and Public holidays (Working days will be between Monday  and Sunday)  

Job Description:  

• Preparation, seasoning and cooking of food  

• Portioning food and adding dressings to ensure excellent presentation  

• Able to meet any special dietary food requirements  

• Must be able to cook all authentic Indian curries and tandoori dishes  

• Checking the food quality of raw and cooked foods  

• May plan menu and estimate food requirements with consultation of manager  

• Regulating temperature controlled cooking equipments  

• Labelling and storing of all the produce in the chiller  

• May train kitchen staff  

• Minimising waste and maintaining kitchen cleanliness  

• Ensuring personal hygiene and maintain high standards of health and safety
