Job Description:

As a Chef de Partie at our café, you will be responsible for:

  • Preparing and cooking high-quality dishes in your designated section
  • Ensuring all food is prepared to the highest standards

  • Managing and training junior kitchen staff

  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization of your section

  • Assisting in menu planning and development

  • Adhering to food safety and hygiene regulations

  • Barista duties

Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Relevant experience in a similar role OR relevant culinary qualifications (e.g., NZ Certificate in Cookery Level 4 or equivalent)

  • Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices

  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

  • Type: Permanent, Full time 
  • Days required: Rotating roster, including weekends, evenings and some public holidays
  • Hours per week: 30-40 hours per week
  • Hourly Pay: $25 - $35 per hour
