$32 – $34 per hour (depending on experience and skill level)

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and reliable chef to join our dynamic kitchen team, specialising in Japanese-Korean cuisine.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook high volumes of Japanese-Korean dishes, including chicken, beef, pork, tofu, ramen, udon, katsu, and karaage

  • Independently manage the kitchen throughout the day, particularly during peak service times

  • Operate multiple cooking stations (eg, deep fryer, wok, and noodle station) with strong technique and timing skills

  • Maintain a clean, organised, and compliant kitchen environment

  • Provide training and support to junior kitchen staff

  • Communicate effectively in a fast-paced, multicultural kitchen setting

  • Cost control (ingredients and labour), and ordering and inventory management

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a commercial kitchen, with proven skills relevant to the menu items

  • Ability to work independently and under pressure

  • Strong multitasking and time management skills

  • Sound knowledge of Japanese or Korean cuisines, including ingredients, sauces, preparation techniques, and cooking methods
