Pay rate: $25 – $30 per hour

Hours: range from 40 hours to 50 hours per week

Job Description:
We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Chinese Chef to join our team and contribute to our commitment to culinary excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

-      Prepare and cook a wide range of authentic Chinese dishes using traditional techniques

-      Maintain high standards of food quality, hygiene, and presentation

-      Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient operations

-      Contribute to menu design, planning and innovation while preserving authentic flavor

-      Assist in inventory management and cost control

-      Conduct regular maintenance checks of kitchen equipment and ensure food is prepared in a proper and timely manner

-      Ensure all staff under your control are fully informed in respect of disciplinary procedures and handle any grievances properly

-      Handle complaints from customers

-      Ensure all documents involving, including personnel, stock and health and safety etc., are kept safely

-      Update knowledge and skills in food preparation regularly and in accordance with the requirements of the employer; and

-      All such other reasonable duties and responsibilities as may be directed by the Director and the Restaurant Manager from time to time

Requirements:

·       Minimum 2 years of proven experience working as a chef in a Chinese restaurant

·       Strong knowledge of traditional Chinese culinary techniques and ingredients

·       Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment

·       Strong teamwork, communication, and organisational skills

·       Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays
