Position: Chef

Pay Rates: $28 to $30 per hours Depending on experience

Full Time- minimum 30 hours per week

Locartion of work: Waihi

Kelly"s Seafood & takeaways are located in Waihi. We are looking for 1x Chef to work in our restrurant and we are welcoming applicants from chefs experienced in the preparation of indian Cuisine as we are looking to increase our Menu offerings. 

 

As a chef, you will carry out the following tasks: 

  • Preparation of all types of  authentic indian dishes with particular emphasis and skill in tandoori and curry cooking.
  • Presentation of meals in an attractive manner
  • Operate a traditional tandoori oven
  • Train other staff in Tandoori oven Techniques and cooking procedures
  • Ensures food is stored and equipment is maintained in hygienic condition
  • Conduct regular stock ckecks?stock takes and arrange orderingof supplies 
  • To work unsupervised

Permanant position- the weekly hours of work may vary but we guarantee at teast 30 hours per week to be worked between tuesday to Sunday, normally between the hours of 12pm and 8pm, The rate of pay offered is 428 to $30 per hour depending on experience.

You will need:

  • At least 1.5 year plus experience at a New Zealand based restaurants.
  • Full Operational Knowledge of all traditional Northen Indian recipes, standards, and presentation style of dishes
  • Good Communication and Organisational Skills
  • The ability to work additional hours and under pressure
  • Good Personal hygiene
  • Tha ability to work lawfully in New Zealand
