We are looking for four experienced cooks for our busy Indian restaurants in Auckland.

Job type: Full Time  

Duration: Permanent  

Relevant Experience: Minimum one year  

Pay: Minimum $24.50 and maximum $31.00  

Hours: Minimum guaranteed 30 hours per week  

Willing to work on weekends and public holidays (Working days will be between Monday  and Sunday)  

Job Description  

• Prepare, season, and cook food, including all authentic Indian curries and Tandoori dishes.

• Check the quality of raw ingredients and cooked dishes to ensure high standards.

• Plan food requirements and ensure excellent presentation and dressing of dishes.

• Assist the chef in ordering necessary kitchen supplies and ingredients.

• Store and label food items correctly in refrigerators and other storage areas.

• Train other kitchen staff when required. 

• Operate temperature-controlled cooking equipment safely and effectively.

• Minimise kitchen waste through efficient practices. 

• Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment. 

• Ensure personal hygiene and uphold high standards of health and safety at all times.
