We are a busy café and restaurant in Wellington and are looking for a full time Chef in a
permanent position.
Planning menu and working with the team and suppliers on estimating costs, support
and ordering supplies.
Preparing, cooking and presenting high quality dishes for our customers.
Discussing food preparation issues with the manager.
Guiding and training the staff on cooking styles.
Preparing meat and Vegetables.
Assisting with the management of health and safety.
Making sure food hygiene practices are managed as expected.
Managing and training staff.
Monitoring portion and waste control.
Overseeing the maintenance of kitchen and food safety standards.
The pay is $30-$35 per hour for the full time permanent role and the hours required are for 30 to 40 hour per week.
We are looking for someone with at least three years of relevant experience or a Level 4
Cookery Diploma qualification.
You must be a NZ citizen/resident or someone with valid work rights in New Zealand to apply for this role.
