Fijian Paradise Limited is seeking a skilled and reliable Cook to join our team in Auckland. We are a busy hospitality business known for our unique Fijian fusion cuisine.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and cook a variety of Indo-Chinese and Fijian dishes to a high standard
• Ensure food is prepared and served efficiently and hygienically
• Assist in planning menus and food preparation methods
• Maintain stock levels and ensure proper storage of ingredients
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and kitchen hygiene standards
• Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house staff
• Assists in the development of new recipes and menu items
• Prepare the food as per the request of customers with dietary requirements
What We’re Looking For:
• Minimum 2 years of experience cooking Fijian and indo Chinese food
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Excellent food preparation and presentation skills
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
• Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and public holidays if required
• A team player with a strong work ethic and attention to detail
