We are looking for chefs and FOH staff for our restaurant located in Alexandra, Central Otago
Chefs
Duties include
· Must be able to prepare naan bread, chicken, and kebabs in the Tandoor (Indian-style clay oven) Must be having the ability to prepare curry bases and sauces
· Estimate food costs, develop new menu items, work on cost reduction and waste elimination, and allocate staff on kitchen duties
· Plan and direct food preparation and cooking activities
· Estimate food requirements, garnishing, and presentation of food
· Plan menus, ensure the quality of food, and portion control
· Maintain records of food costs, consumption, and inventory
· While on duty keep the cooking area clean to make sure that the health and food safety standard is met
· Train staff
Required experience: A minimum of three years of relevant experience. The applicant must be familiar with tandoor style cooking.

Pay rate: $26 - $28 per hour
Front of House staff
Duties include
· Providing fast, attentive and efficient service in a warm and hospitable manner
· Set tables in accordance with the layout expected by the Restaurant Manager
· Assisting diners with food and beverage selection by briefly summarising the menu, explaining daily specials, answering food and beverage related questions and making appropriate suggestions
· Taking customers’ orders in a friendly and efficient manner
· Serving food and beverages in a professional, courteous and timely manner
· Ensuring all food and beverage is delivered to the correct tables as quickly as possible
· Ensuring tthe dishes are cleared quickly and efficiently and that the table is left in an immaculate state
· Ensuring that customers are correctly charged
· Presenting the bill to customers and taking payment from customers if applicable
