Seeking One Cook in Auckland to work for our restaurant permanently. 

A desirable candidate should be: 

  • Have 2 years’ relevant work experience.
  • Positive, punctual, honest, good at teamwork.

The minimum rate of pay is $27/hour-$30/hour, the minimum hour of work is 30 hours per week, 5 days a week.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • preparing raw ingredients

  • examining foodstuffs to ensure quality

  • regulating temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment

  • preparing and cooking food on the menu

  • seasoning food during cooking

  • portioning food, placing it on plates, and adding gravies, sauces and garnishes

  • storing food in temperature controlled facilities

  • preparing food to meet special dietary requirements

  • ordering food supplies, organising deliveries and restocking shelves

  • may plan menus and estimate food requirements

  • may train other kitchen staff and apprentices
