About Us:
Kome Sake Bar is a popular Japanese restaurant located in the heart of Auckland’s vibrant Commercial Bay precinct. With over 4,500 Google reviews and a reputation for excellence, we serve authentic Japanese cuisine with a creative twist. We're currently looking for three skilled and enthusiastic Chefs to join our growing team.

Kitchen Hours:
Open 7 days – shifts rostered weekly, including weekends and public holidays.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare a wide range of Japanese dishes with precision and flair
• Assist in developing menu items and seasonal offerings
• Help manage inventory, ordering, and food cost control
• Ensure consistent food quality and hygiene standards are met
• Train and support junior kitchen staff
• Collaborate closely with the kitchen and front-of-house team

What You Bring:

• NZ Diploma in Cookery or at least three years of relevant experience
• Experience with Japanese cuisine (sushi, robata, hot dishes preferred)
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Team player who can thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Flexibility for shift work, including weekends and holidays
