Our client,  in Papatoetoe, Auckland, is looking for full-time chefs with a minimum of 30 hours and a maximum of 40 hours guaranteed.

NZ$28.00 to NZ$31.00 per Hour.

Multiple positions available

  • ·          Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with established recipes and standards.
  •       Design and develop creative and seasonal menus that reflect the restaurant’s concept and target market.
  • ·         Continuously innovate to keep the menu fresh and exciting.
  • ·         Manage and train kitchen staff, including line cooks and kitchen assistants.
  • ·         Foster a positive and productive team environment.
  • ·         Ensure all dishes are presented beautifully and meet taste and quality expectations. Discussing food preparation issues with Managers, Dietitians, and kitchen and waiting staff.
  • ·         Maintain a clean and tidy workspace.
  • ·           In addition, you will be assisting with general kitchen and cleaning duties
  • ·         Some ordering and basic kitchen management.
  • ·         Has the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • ·         Full-time role, min 30 hours per week, includes evenings, late nights, public holidays, and weekends.
  • ·         Minimum 2+ years of experience or relevant level 4 Qualification 

 

Job Requirements

  • ·         You must have at least 2 years of relevant experience or a Level 4 Qualification . Strong delegation and customer service skills
  • ·         The highest standards of food and occupational safety and hygiene will be hardworking, reliable, and have a friendly and positive attitude.
  • ·         Will have experience working as a chef in a commercial kitchen.
  • ·         Will have superior customer service skills, but most importantly, will demonstrate a passion for great food, customer service, and quality.
  • ·          Know temperature procedures and can work within timeframes.
