DDN Enterprises Ltd is looking for an Indian Cook who has at least two years' work experience in Indian cuisine in curry and tandoor for their venues in Wellington region: Spices Indian Restaurant and Spices Indian Takeaway

Either New Zealand citizens, residents or on an open work visa holders are eligible to apply with at least two years' work experience in Indian cuisine.

 

Pay rate $26-$29 per hour and overtime at the same pay rate per hour.

Wages, paid weekly into their bank account.

Hours: 30-32 hours/week, 

Working hours:3 pm -10 pm as flexibly required with weekend availability.

Duties: 

examining foodstuffs to ensure quality; 

regulating temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment;

preparing and cooking food;

seasoning food during cooking; 

portioning food, placing it on plates, and adding gravies, sauces and garnishes;

storing food in temperature-controlled facilities; 

preparing food to meet special dietary requirements;

may plan menus and estimate food requirements; 

may train other kitchen staff and apprentices.
