Agam Hospitality Limited is a popular bar/restaurant located in Otago region. Our well known restaurant/bar is looking for an experienced Cook to work in a fast-paced environment.

The duties of this position are:

  • Relevant experience of two years or a relevant qualification
  • Preparing food and snacks
  • Ordering and monitoring supplies as directed
  • Ensure ingredients and final products are fresh
  • Regulating temperature of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment
  • storing and maintaining food
  • Maintaining the kitchen to the highest standard of cleanliness
  • Maintain food safety and sanitation standards
  • Plan menus and estimate food requirements
  • Handle and store ingredients and food
  • Monitor station inventory levels
  • Check quality and freshness
  • Train and supervise other kitchen staff
  • May be required to work front of house if and when required by the employer
  • Plating food, adding gravies, portions and garnishes.

Applicant must be able to do flexible working hours, including weekends and pulblic holiday as the role requires.

Salary range is $25.00-$30.00 depending upon experience.
