Fei Yang Cafe Ltd, is seeking experienced Pastry Chefs to become a part of our dedicated team at Canterbury.

Pastry Chef 

This is a full-time, permanent role with a guaranteed minimum of 35 hours per week with remuneration between $25-$35 per hour for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Operate and manage the pastry section of a kitchen, working together with the other chefs
  • Prepare a variety of baked goods
  • Decorate and present pastries and baked goods in a tasteful and beautiful way
  • Monitor and order ingredients, supplies and equipment
  • Ensure the bakery section of the kitchen adheres to health and safety regulations
  • Develop new seasonal recipes and menus and keep up with the latest trends

Ideal Candidate:

  • Excellent communication and organisation

  • Motivated with a positive attitude

  • Adaptable and able to work in a high-pressure environment

  • Minimum 2 years relevant work experience OR a relevant Level 4 qualification or higher
