• Our cafe & restaurant is located in Feilding needs to hire:
  • 1 chefs Full-time permanent 
  • Minimum number of hours per week : 35 hours
  • Maximum number of hours per week: 40 hours
  • Location: Feilding - Manawatu
  • Planning menus, creating new dishes
  • Discussing food preparation issuses with the Director, manager, and staff
  • Ordering the supplies and checking products to ensure the standards are met. Handling and maintaining all products properly
  • Ensureing all food items are stored at the right temperatur and all food is used by date, may freeze and preserve food to ensure food quality
  • Ensuring enough stock is kept for daily operation through carrying out stockake.
  • Cook food according to menu specifications in terms of quality and quanlity using appropriate cooking techniques.
  • Monitoring the quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presention with a high standard.
  • Property plate presentation and garnish set up for all dishes, determining how food should be presented
  • Overseeing kitchen work progress, and ensuring implementation of health and safety procedures in the kitchen.
  • Ensuring all equipment and kitchen environments are operational and meeting standard.
  • Requirement for the job:
  • Having NZ work right, New Zealand residents,and citizens are preferred
  • At least 2 years of relevant work experience OR a relevant NZQF level 4 is required.
  • Being physically fit
  • No criminal record 
  • Full - time availability, always available on weekends. Might be required to work on public holidays.
  • Available for both morning and eveing shift across 2 7 day roster.
  • Skill in cooking in cooking Hue Royal meals and Vietnamese meals ( Hue cusine and Vietnamese cusine) 
  • Knowing Viet Nam culture would be an advanced.
  • Having European cooking skills would be an advantage
