Pastry Chef @ Circus Circus Café, Mt Eden

Circus Circus Café has been an iconic establishment in Mt Eden Village for over 30 years, known for its vibrant atmosphere, loyal community, and irresistible cabinet selection. We are now on the hunt for a skilled Pastry Chef to join our talented kitchen team.

About the Role:
As our Pastry Chef, you’ll take charge of our daily pastry and bakery production, ensuring everything leaving the kitchen is of the highest quality, visually appealing, and consistently delicious. You’ll work closely with our chefs to deliver creative sweet and savoury offerings that keep our cabinet fresh and exciting.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and prepare a wide range of cakes, tarts, desserts, breads, pies, quiches, and other pastries.

Check quality of ingredients and ensure food preparation standards are met.

Decorate and present pastries and desserts to a high standard.

Create new and seasonal recipes that align with our brand.

Manage stock levels, ordering, and minimisation of food wastage.

Supervise and train kitchen staff in pastry techniques when required.

Maintain a clean, safe, and organised kitchen environment in line with food safety regulations.

About You:

Have relevant Level 4 qualification or higher OR at least 2 years of work experience in relevant filed or industry

What We Offer:

Guaranteed hours of 30 hours minimum and 40 hours maximum per week and competitive pay range will be between $28.00 - $32.00 per hour.

 

Shift will in rotating roaster between 6:00AM to 10:00PM between Monday to Sunday.
