Key Responsibilities

Plan, prepare, and cook menu items in line with café standards.

Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet required standards.

Monitor food preparation methods, portion sizes, and garnishing to maintain consistency.

Assist in menu planning, including seasonal specials and cost control.

Supervise and train kitchen staff in food preparation, hygiene, and safety.

Check freshness of food and ingredients and ensure proper storage.

Maintain inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies.

Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations.

Monitor and minimise food wastage.

Collaborate with management on menu updates and customer feedback.

Maintain a clean, organised, and safe kitchen environment.

Prepare reports on kitchen operations, stock usage, and staff performance when required.
