Pay Rate: $30 to $35 per hour 
Hours of Work: 30 – 40 hours per week

Key Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience
    Or

  • Level 2 or higher qualification

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and cook menu items in line with café standards.

  • Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet required standards.

  • Monitor food preparation methods, portion sizes, and garnishing to maintain consistency.

  • Assist in menu planning, including seasonal specials and cost control.

  • Supervise and train kitchen staff in food preparation, hygiene, and safety.

  • Check freshness of food and ingredients and ensure proper storage.

  • Maintain inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies.

  • Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations.

  • Monitor and minimise food wastage.

  • Collaborate with management on menu updates and customer feedback.

  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe kitchen environment.

  • Prepare reports on kitchen operations, stock usage, and staff performance when required.
