We are currently seeking experienced and motivated Cooks to join our professional kitchen team.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Prepare, season, and cook a wide range of meals including à la carte dishes, bar snacks, and buffet options.

Ensure all meals meet presentation and quality standards in line with hotel expectations and food safety regulations.

Assist in menu planning, costing, and daily specials in collaboration with senior kitchen staff.

Monitor stock levels and manage inventory to minimize food wastage.

Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in food preparation areas, following food safety and health regulations.

Supervise and support junior staff or kitchen hands as required.

Work effectively as part of a fast-paced kitchen team across different food outlets within the hotel.
Skills, Experience and Requirements:
Applicants must meet at least one of the following:

Minimum of 3 years of relevant full-time experience as a Cook in a commercial kitchen setting
OR -
A relevant Cookery qualification at NZQF Level 4 or higher (or overseas equivalent)
Additional Requirements:

Sound knowledge of food hygiene, safety, and kitchen best practices

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high attention to detail

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Flexibility to work a rotating roster including weekends, evenings, and public holidays
Hours of Work:

Minimum 30 hours per week guaranteed

Work is based on a rotating 7-day roster, including evening and weekend shifts

Additional hours may be available during busy periods
Pay and Benefits:

Hourly rate: $25.00 – $28.00 per hour (commensurate with experience)
