Our client based in Masterton, Wellington is currently looking for individuals to join our team as an experienced Chef.
Minimum of 30 and a Maiximum of 40 hours/week guranteed.
NZ $ 28.00 - $ 30.00 per hour
The ideal candidates should have a passion for food, the ability to thrive under pressure, be committed and reliable.
Minimum 3 years of experience required.
Your duties will include, but not be limited to:
- · Preparing and cooking food for takeaway and restaurant
- · Examining each dish for quantity, quality, presentation, and correct temperature
- · Correct portioning (serving size) of the foo,d adding sauces and gravies.
- · Seasoning and garnishing the dishes
- · Controlling the temperatures of the cooking equipment ovens and grills
- · Follow the instructions and prepare the food as per the dietary requirements
- · Storing the food at the required temperatures
- · To assist in ordering the inventory and maintaining the stock levels
- · Suggest new dishes and assist in planning the menu
- · Keeping the work areas always clean, hygienic, and tidy
- · Ensure kitchen compliance meets all health and safety regulations
Job Requirements
- · At least 3 years of relevant experience in a commercial kitchen
- · Time management skills and the ability to work under pressure
- · Innovative and Creative
- · Physically fit and hard working
- · Willing to work from 10 AM to 10 PM Monday to Sunday & Weekends must.
- · Availability during late night closing, Weekends, Public Holidays, and during Christmas and New Year's Break
