Our busy restaurant, in a busy food court in the hub of Auckland City is looking for a dynamic Cook to help us with the busy environment.

We want someone with hands down experience in cooking and planning menus. We are looking at someone who has worked in a similar role for a minimum of two years or  a qualification

Cook

In this role you will be responsible for the following:

  • examining foodstuffs to ensure quality
  • regulating temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment
  • preparing and cooking food
  • seasoning food during cooking
  • portioning food, placing it on plates, and adding gravies, sauces and garnishes
  • storing food in temperature controlled facilities
  • preparing food to meet special dietary requirements
  • may plan menus and estimate food requirements
  • Ensuring food quality and taste is of the highest standard
  • Maintaining health and hygiene in the kitchen
  • May freeze and preserve food
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment

 

 

 

 

Requirements:

· Relevant work experience of minimum 2 years or a  qualification

·         Knowledge and experience of Indian cuisine preferred

 

Applicant must be able to do flexible working hours, including nights, weekends and Public Holidays as the role requires. We have zero tolerance for substance abuse. You may be willing to undergo mandatory drug-test and pre-employment police check. 

Salary range for the position is $25.00- $29.00 per hour, depending on experience. If you meet this criteria, knowledge, and experience, we love to hear from you.
